Jackie didn’t shed a tear as she said her goodbyes
Took off on her motorbike and the wind in her hair felt nice
She rode on til her lips were dry and her hands were going numb
She turned off the engine and said tonight the driving is done.
She pulled over and paid cash for her room and changed into something nice
Walked down to the bar, asked for a beer and thought hey I cant wait to get outta here
COROS:
Im on my own x2
Shes gotta pocketful of money that she saved up, More than her share of looks and luck
Shell replace everything they took, never had the future looked so good.
The men tried to hit on Jackie but she turned them away polite
Some were persistant but ran away at the look in her eye.
She went to bed, began to dream but woke up drowning in sweat
Turned on the light, popped a pill, got some scars she cant forget or heal
COROS
Jackie when you were young you saw the world in black and white
Now your grown you see its hard to know which is right and wrong
They used you, hurt you, abused you
The hatred blinds you from the truth.
Running wont bring you peace
